Mindy Mackey joined Carnegie Investment Counsel in 2014 and serves as Marketing Manager, leading the firm's marketing communications, content, digital strategy, and events. She focuses on finding clear and creative ways to communicate how Carnegie helps individuals, families, and organizations pursue their financial goals through personalized investment management and advice.

Since 2020, Mindy has also worked closely with new and established nonprofit organizations as they explore and establish endowment and investment accounts. She serves as an initial point of contact, helping organizations navigate the process and connecting nonprofit leaders with Carnegie's investment advisory team.

Mindy earned her bachelor's degree in Marketing from Kent State University and held the StoryBrand Certified Guide credential from 2019 through 2025, bringing a client-centered approach to Carnegie's messaging and communications.

Outside of Carnegie, Mindy serves on the Pro-Am Golf Tournament Committee supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Ohio. She lives in Burton, Ohio, with her husband and three young children and enjoys hosting friends and family at their home.

Megan Lencoski joins the Carnegie team as Nonprofit Development Specialist. Megan consults nonprofit clients on how to grow revenue streams and maximize their impact on the people and communities they serve. Megan will start by getting to know nonprofit leaders and their organizations, then meet them where they are with actionable steps. She will provide insights on creative fundraising strategies plus connect nonprofits with specialized tools and resources. In addition, Megan writes articles and other resources sharing best practices and tips to help nonprofits grow and their teams thrive. 
 
Before joining Carnegie, Megan worked nine years as Development Director and Chief Operating Officer at WomenSafe, a nonprofit domestic violence shelter and resource center based in Northeast Ohio. During her time in development leadership, she helped increase special events revenue by 40% and added new revenue streams that increased the agency budget from $1 million to $2 million. Megan continues volunteering with the organization, helping with special events, grant writing and ongoing digital marketing. 
 
Megan earned her bachelor’s degree in international relations from Kent State University. Today, she lives in Chardon, Ohio, and enjoys traveling around the country with her husband in their camper.

Gregory Halter, CFA, is Director of Research at Carnegie Investment Counsel, where he leads equity research and helps shape the firm's investment strategy. Since joining Carnegie in 2017, Greg has brought decades of experience in equity research, portfolio management, and investment analysis.

Before joining Carnegie, Greg served as Co-Manager of the RE Advisers Homestead Value Fund and Homestead Small-Company Stock Fund. Earlier in his career, he spent 16 years as an equity analyst at Great Lakes Review. He also served as a Portfolio Manager at Premier Bank and Trust and as a Commissioned Bank Examiner for the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland.

About the CFA Designation
The Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA”) charter is a professional designation established in 1962 and awarded by CFA Institute. To earn the CFA charter, candidates must pass three sequential, six-hour examinations over two to four years. The three levels of the CFA Program test a wide range of investment topics, including ethical and professional standards, fixed-income analysis, alternative and derivative investments, and portfolio management and wealth planning. In addition, CFA charterholders must have at least four years of acceptable professional experience in the investment decision-making process and must commit to abide by, and annually reaffirm, their adherence to the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct.

Wendy Eldridge joined Carnegie Investment Counsel in 2024 as a Retirement Plan Advisor. In this role, she tailors her clients' retirement plans to meet their individual needs. Wendy has nearly 25 years of experience in the retirement plan industry. Prior to her time at Carnegie Investment Counsel, she held the position of Managing Director and partner at a wealth management firm, where she oversaw the firm's retirement plan practice.

Wendy is a member of the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA) and serves on the 2025 NAPA 401(k) Summit steering committee. Additionally, she is a member of the Women in Pension Network (WIPN). Wendy holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Business Administration from Kent State University.

Outside of her professional life, Wendy is an active volunteer for Saint Ignatius High School in Cleveland, Ohio. She has been involved in the Loyola Society Board and has served as its President. Wendy also sits on the board of the West 30th St. Huddle. She currently resides in Avon, Ohio, and is the proud mother of three children. In her free time, she enjoys playing sports and attending sporting events, particularly Colgate football games to support her son, who is currently a member of the team.

Heidi Rose serves as a Financial Planner in the firm’s Cincinnati office.  Heidi helps clients identify and achieve their financial goals through financial planning in the areas of retirement planning, investment evaluation, tax planning, estate planning and insurance.  Heidi plays an integral part in managing client portfolios specific to the clients’ needs and desires.

Heidi joined the Cincinnati Office (previously The Alpine Financial Group) in 2000, and became part of Carnegie Investment Counsel in 2013. Heidi has 17 years of experience as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™.  Prior to her joining The Alpine Financial Group, Heidi worked in the Retirement Services Group at Fidelity Investments and with Fifth Third Bank. 

As one of the first graduates of Northern Kentucky University’s CFP® program, Heidi earned her Bachelor of Science in Finance; concentrating in personal finance and a minor in business administration.

Heidi lives in Northern Kentucky with her husband and three children. Many Sundays she is found in the children’s worship center leading young children in “Kids Jam worship.” She enjoys attending her kids’ soccer games, boating, and singing.
About the CFP® Certification
The CFP® certification is a voluntary certification; no federal or state law or regulation requires financial planners to hold CFP® certification. It is recognized in the United States and a number of other countries for its (1) high standard of professional education; (2) stringent code of conduct and standards of practice; and (3) ethical requirements that govern professional engagements with clients. Currently, more than 71,000 individuals have obtained CFP® certification in the United States.

To attain the right to use the CFP® marks, an individual must satisfactorily fulfill the following requirements:
  • Education – Complete an advanced college-level course of study addressing the financial planning subject areas that CFP Board’s studies have determined as necessary for the competent and professional delivery of financial planning services, and attain a Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited United States college or university (or its equivalent from a foreign university). CFP Board’s financial planning subject areas include Item 2: Educational Background and Business Experience insurance planning and risk management, employee benefits planning, investment planning, income tax planning, retirement planning, and estate planning;
  • Examination – Pass the comprehensive CFP® Certification Examination. The examination includes case studies and client scenarios designed to test one’s ability to correctly diagnose financial planning issues and apply one’s knowledge of financial planning to real world circumstances;
  • Experience – Complete at least three years of full-time financial planning-related experience (or the equivalent, measured as 2,000 hours per year); and
  • Ethics – Agree to be bound by CFP Board’s Standards of Professional Conduct, a set of documents outlining the ethical and practice standards for CFP® professionals.
​Individuals who become certified must complete the following ongoing education and ethics requirements in order to maintain the right to continue to use the CFP® marks:
  • Continuing Education – Complete 30 hours of continuing education hours every two years, including two hours on the Code of Ethics and other parts of the Standards of Professional Conduct, to maintain competence and keep up with developments in the financial planning field; and
  • Ethics – Renew an agreement to be bound by the Standards of Professional Conduct. The Standards prominently require that CFP® professionals provide financial planning services at a fiduciary standard of care. This means CFP® professionals must provide financial planning services in the best interests of their clients.

Christopher A. Henry

Chris Henry serves as VP, Portfolio Manager at the firm’s Toledo office.  His duties range from providing research on investments to executing and allocating trades.  Chris has a passion for understanding investments and how to best incorporate them for his clients.

Prior to joining Carnegie, Chris served as a VP, Portfolio Manager at an RIA and had been an integral part of their investment department.  He has also been an active board member and is currently Vice President of the Wealth Management Society of NW Ohio (WMSNWO).

Chris earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, with a minor in Accounting, from the University of Toledo.  At the university, he quickly learned how to manage money in a downturn as a member of the Student Managed Portfolio (SMP) class, which helped manage $1 million of the UT Foundation endowment from August 2008 to May 2009. In 2008, he also interned at Citi Smith Barney where he provided research and portfolio analysis for two financial advisors.

Outside of work, Chris holds the honor of being admitted into the Order of the Arrow and awarded the rank of Eagle Scout in 2005.

Prior to joining Carnegie Investment Counsel, Michael worked closely with ultra-high net worth families and their professional advisors to create personalized solutions to complex financial issues.
Michael earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Economics with a minor in Mathematics, from Hood College in Frederick, MD, where he was a 4-year member and captain of the men’s varsity swim team.

Outside of the office, Michael serves as the Treasurer and Member of the National Eagle Scout Association’s Pittsburgh Chapter.

Michael resides in Upper St. Clair, PA with his wife and daughter.  In his free time, you can find him golfing, fishing, or reading.

Ryan Applegate brings a distinctive perspective to wealth advising, combining more than a decade in healthcare with a growing career in investment strategy. Before joining Carnegie Investment Counsel, he worked as a board-certified Physician Assistant in both clinical and research settings. He holds a Master of Physician Assistant Studies and a Doctor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. His background includes leadership in clinical trial research and innovation in digital healthcare delivery. He later transitioned into finance, serving as a stock analyst and portfolio advisor at an independent RIA firm, where he helped clients align their investments with long-term goals.

Ryan especially enjoys working with healthcare professionals, entrepreneurs, and individuals navigating major life transitions. Drawing from his diverse background, he offers research-driven guidance that is both analytical and empathetic.

At Carnegie, Ryan partners with clients to design customized investment strategies that reflect their values, goals, and evolving priorities. His approach is collaborative, educational, and rooted in a deep respect for each client’s unique story.

Outside of work, Ryan enjoys exploring the outdoors, playing pickleball, volunteering in his community, and following developments in behavioral finance and medical science.
