Carnegie Investment Counsel has a legacy rooted in integrity and evolution. Founded in 1974 as Carnegie Capital Asset Management Company (CCAMC), our story began as part of Prescott Ball & Turben, advising on money market and fixed-income mutual funds. In 1991, CCAMC became an independent RIA, dedicated to serving individual and institutional clients.

The 1990s were a period of growth, with CCAMC managing individual assets and mutual funds. But as our vision sharpened, we disbanded the mutual funds to focus exclusively on personalized wealth management for private clients. In 2009, under new ownership, we rebranded as Carnegie Investment Counsel, moving our headquarters from downtown Cleveland to the suburbs—a decision that symbolized our commitment to accessibility and personal service.

Today, we operate in Cleveland, Cincinnati, Fort Myers, Los Angeles, New York, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and Toledo, serving clients coast-to-coast with over $6.5 billion in assets under management as of December 2024. Our reach may be national, but our dedication to individualized service remains our defining characteristic.

From private families to nonprofits, foundations, and 401(k) plan sponsors, we continue to deliver customized strategies that reflect our core values: hard work, accountability, and imaginative stewardship. After 50 years, we’re just getting started—building on a tradition of excellence to create a future of prosperity for our clients and communities alike.
