1974: Carnegie Capital Asset Management Company is formed in Cleveland, Ohio by Prescott, Ball & Turben. It creates one of the first brokerage-owned money market mutual funds.
1985: Carnegie Capital Management Company is selected as Co-Administrator of STAROhio, a multi-billion dollar public investment pool.
1990s: Carnegie launches a series of mutual funds, including the flagship Carnegie Capiello Growth Fund.
1991: Carnegie Capital Asset Management Company is established as an SEC Registered Investment Advisor serving individuals, families and non-profit institutions.
1997: Carnegie becomes a charter member of the Schwab Advisor Network™.
1998-1999: Carnegie disbands its mutual funds to focus on its core business of managing custom investment portfolios.
2000: Carnegie merges with Zilber & Associates; adding depth and financial planning expertise.
2009: Carnegie, under fresh ownership, rebrands as Carnegie Investment Counsel.
2010: Carnegie relocates its headquarters in Beachwood, Ohio. Assets managed hit $300 Million.
2011: Tower Wealth Management merges with Carnegie. Assets under management reach $450 Million.
2012: Asset Under Management exceeds $500 Million.
2013: The Alpine Financial Group joins Carnegie in Cincinnati to open its first office outside of Cleveland. AUM reaches $792 Million.
2014: Haisman Wealth Management merges with Carnegie to expand presence in SW Florida. Carnegie opens office in Philadelphia, PA.
2015: Carnegie moves headquarters to its own building in Pepper Pike, Ohio. Schuylkill Capital Management joins Carnegie in Philadelphia.
2016: Intellinomics merges with Carnegie to open an office in Dayton, Ohio. Carnegie adds Retirement Plan Services group and office in Pittsburgh, PA. Assets exceed $1.3 Billion.
2017: Carnegie welcomes two Managing Directors in New York City. Also, merging with Cleveland firm, Midwest investment Management, taking assets under management and advisement to $2 billion.2017
